Long time no writing, this was my first article in March 2013, maybe some friends think “basic lazy blogger.”But, lately, I can’t write because of a lot of work (offline and online), so other writers are also busy with their affairs. Following the title, this article discusses a simple way to make blog content more SEO.

Many bloggers don’t care much about SEO (search engine optimization) or don’t even know about SEO. They usually write content without regard to essential points in their content that can affect SERP on Google or other search engines, maybe this blogger, including you. People who are familiar with SEO activities will usually write longer content than other bloggers who don’t care about SEO because SEOs do always pay attention to many factors before publishing their content … sometimes they get dizzy themselves.

I am not trying to invite you to become an ‘SEO blogger,’ but just sharing a few tips to maximize your content in search engines. Following are six ways to make blog content more SEO:

 1. Create Original and Quality Content 

If we talk about SEO, it will be connected to the content’s quality and originality. If we create a blog whose content is only copy-paste from other sources, the chances are that our blog will get a penalty. Do not believe it? Try copying the content on this blog, and posting it on your blog, see the results in a few months – do not.

Then, what is the original content if the topic has written a lot of other people. We can write the same topic with the topic on other people’s blogs, but of course, we have our language style, it doesn’t matter. Then what are the quality articles? Blog content is usually in the form of articles, images, and videos, or it could be just one of them. As long as your content provided useful information and liked by readers, it can be considered quality. We don’t need to overthink. About the number of words in article content, as long as the readers like it, it’s done. But we must remember, this is for blog content not microblogs like Twitter which only offers 140 characters for one content, so yes the number of words can be more (300 – 1000+ words)

 2. Enter Relevant Images / Videos 

Like a garden without flowers, that’s what happens if an article in a blog has no pictures or videos. Images can indeed represent words, but pictures without words such as singing alone on a quiet night (sorry to digress a little). So, articles and images should always be together in our content, even better if there are related videos. For pictures, don’t forget to give ALT tags (alternatives) to images with keywords that match the article’s topics. This aims to optimize the image in search results on search engines.

 3. Create Article Title and Meta Description 

Title / Article title is significant for the SEO of a blog because it is the initial information about the contents of the article to be made. Make the title descriptive and can represent the topic of the material to be created, and make sure the title also contains essential keywords. Besides providing keywords, it’s a good idea also to be able to attract the attention of prospective readers from search engines like Google. Of course, the title made by the way 2 is more attractive to potential readers, so it is likely that people who click on the search engine become bigger.

A meta description is one way for search engines like Google to quickly recognizes the topic of the articles we write. So make sure always to rewrite your article description every time you create content on a blog. Usually, search engines only read 160 characters from the story, so don’t forget to enter the keyword topic of the article created in 160 characters.

 4. Use Tags Naturally 

Beginner bloggers who do not understand the function of tags and do not know Google’s “ferocity” lately, would choose to enter as many keywords and tags as possible even insert unnecessary tags into their content. Cards on the content aim to indicate the topic of the content created, well, if the cards that inserted are huge in number, this will make our content unfocused and like SPAM. For material, it would be better if we enter a maximum of 5 tags related to the article created.

 5. Enter Reasonable Keywords 

Just like tags, inserting keywords into content is essential for SEO. But pay attention to enter keywords that are related to the topic created. Enter keywords naturally into your content, starting from the first paragraph to the last paragraph. Please do not put too many keywords in the material because it will considered keyword stuffing or SPAM activities.

 6. Creating Links to Related Pages 

Links to related pages – be they internal or external – are one right way to improve SEO a content page. Linking to other pages whose content is still associated means your content equipped with a reference link that makes your content more complete.
