Basics of Getting Quality SEO Backlinks

Why Backlinks Very Importan For a Blog

Backlinks or backlinks are links that lead to a website (can be to the homepage or directly to a post) that comes from references or recommendations from other web sites. In short, backlinks are backlinks from outside that lead to a website. Backlinks can be obtained from the manual or natural way. Manual means that it is made by the site owner, whereas natural means that it is obtained from the recommendations of others. To get this backlink, there are certain techniques. Well, how to make backlinks is also called link building. Before heading to the essence of the article (how to get backlinks), I want to explain a little more about the definition of backlinks because this is quite important.

Why Backlinks Very Important For a Blog

As long as search engines (search engines) such as Google, Bing, Yahoo, and others still exist and have not been replaced, the role of backlinks is still very much needed until now. However, planting incorrect backlinks will cause your website to ignored by search engines (especially Google, which is very aggressive with suspicions of ‘manual’ backlinks).

Backlinks are manually divided into two types, namely through the white hat and black hat processes. A white cap is a technique to find backlinks that are preferred by Google. Instead, the black hat is a spam technique to manipulate Google to accelerate the development of ranking on search pages.

White hats are difficult to do, so webmasters prefer to use black hat techniques even though it involves significant risk of getting into Google’s penalty. However, a white hat is immaculate, and the risk of being penalized by Google is very small or even non-existent because the backlinks contained there are obtained by safe means.

So that you do not get stuck, the following link building is categorized as a black hat that is not good.

  • Excessive guest blogs on low-quality websites.
  • Web 2.0 consisting of only one to two articles.
  • Buying backlinks (using backlink services).
  • Linkwheel.
  • Spam in online forums.
  • Spam in blog comments.
  • Excessively submit to social bookmarks.
  • High OBL (Website that generates lots of outbound links).
  • Redirect/auto-submit the .GOV.EDU website, and so on.
  • And others.

You better leave the black hat techniques above for the health of your blog. Punishment from Google is not half the responsibility for its users. Google has prepared many ‘warriors’ like Google Penguin, Panda, and so on. I have also been affected, and finally, it takes a long time to recover. Even if it is severe, it can be FOREVER or permanent.

This does not mean that using black hat techniques will be affected by the adverse effects. Some black hat techniques are safe and risk getting a small penalty as long as the levels of use are not excessive. This method will be discussed further on another occasion.

The black hat was discovered by SEO practitioners who are always looking for ways to successfully carry out their techniques to get the ranking they want on Google. This black technique makes use of gaps that Google doesn’t know yet. But the difference is getting narrower because Google is getting smarter in determining the position of SERP.

Quality backlink indicators

Actually, what are the quality backlinks? It turns out that Google likes backlinks like the one below.

1. Anchor text

Anchor text is the writing of impressions from the embedded hyperlink/link. Example: Understanding SEO, TIPSTRICKS*NET, etc.

Installing the right anchor text can make your site earn plus points. Use anchor text that contains RELEVANT keywords for your website. But sometimes, anchor text also doesn’t have to use keywords. You also have to use variations of anchor text like the site’s brand. As an example; TIPSTRICKS*NET, etc.

In addition to brands, you can also link ‘naked’ URLs such as http://www.indotipstricks.net, http://www.google.com. You can also provide anchor text like this ‘here’ ‘following’ ‘please go to this link.’ Planting like this is recommended, so don’t always use the main keywords in the anchor text.

2. Source of backlinks

The source of this backlink is an Important factor (very Important) for the progress of your site. If you put the backlink is not in the right place, then the search engine will give a penalty to your site. Penalties also vary, ranging from sentences such as sandboxes, deindex, and others.

So what kind of quality backlink sources? Take a look below.

  • Popular websites: Facebook, Google, YouTube, and others.
  • Relevant website or niche: One niche here means that sites with backlink-embedded sites have the same topic.
  • Blog 2.0 is diligently updating posts: Like Blogger, WordPress, Joomla, and the like.
  • Websites with a high DA, PA, PR, and backlink: a high DA is above 40, whereas a high PA is above 35. For PR at above 3, and backlinks above 7,000
  • Originating from websites with .edu and .gov domains: Google likes these two sites’ area, and usually, these sites have high PR. So try each site to have several backlinks from .edu and .gov.

Don’t get backlinks from weighted sites like this:

  • Gambling, pornography, potent drugs, and related websites.
  • Web sites with low PA or DA (under 25).
  • High OBL or have many outgoing links (you can learn it at point five).
  • Websites that have been affected or have been penalized by Google.
  • And others.

Then what if unknowingly our website has been linked by a site like the above? The first way, ask directly to the site owner to remove your link. If that doesn’t work, you can use the Google Disavow tool to make the link nofollow.

3. Number of backlinks

Although backlinks are necessary, there are still rules of use, such as the number of these backlinks. Too many backlinks in a short amount of time can cause your site to be considered spam by Google. Google can detect this, and if the optimization is done excessively, you will be included in Google’s ‘PRISON.’

According to some SEO practitioners, backlinks are planted per day at a modest amount. For example, a day to plant 1-5 backlinks, then your site is still said to be routine by Google.

How do I check the backlink? You can check Google Webmaster: Links to Your Site. How to enter your site into the column provided, then click the SEARCH LINKS button. Then you will see the number of backlinks on your website.

Other tools for checking backlinks are BacklinkWatch.com, MonitorBacklinks.com, Ahrefs.com, etc.

4. Nofollow and Dofollow rails

Many bloggers/webmasters assume that nofollow links are no longer valid, or their benefits have been dead to boost rankings in search results. In fact, it turns out that the nofollow link can help balance with the dofollow link.

Better before any further, we first identify what is nofollow and what is dofollow. Nofollow is a link that will not enter the search engine index. But that does not mean that search engines cannot crawl it, search engines can crawl nofollow links but not display them in search results.

While dofollow is a link that will be crawled by search engines as well as being displayed in search results, and if the backlink is good, it can give plus points to your site.

According to SEO experts, nofollow links are still needed to provide a balance so that Google does not suspect your site. Obviously, where might there be sites that have thousands of backlinks, and all of them are dofollow? Surely Google would be suspicious, right? At least at least your site has a percentage of 10% nofollow backlinks.

5. Low OBL

Yes, of course, low OBL. As I said earlier, OBL is an extension of outbound links, which means outgoing links. Google doesn’t like websites with too many outbound links, and Google will label it as a spam site. As you know, Google doesn’t like spam techniques. If you plant backlinks on spam sites, it means that you are affected as well.

So, plant backlinks on sites that have a low OBL. Lots of content and consistently updated, active readers, and few outgoing links, this is what Google likes!

6. DA, PA, and High PR

Who said that PageRank could no longer be a benchmark value of a site? Try to think again, if the high PR site proves that Google used to like it, huh?

DA (Domain Authority), PA (Page authority), and PR (PageRank) are the values of the website. All three have an essential role, you better plant backlinks on sites with a large DA, PA, or PR.

According to SEO experts, a high DA is 40 and above, a high PA is 40 and above, and a high PR is three and above.

How do I check DA, PA, and PR at the same time? It’s easy. You can use MultiPageRank.com. Please enter the website you want to see and click the Check button

7. Top-level domain (TLD)

Who would have thought Google was more pleased with backlinks originating from sites with TLD domains than those that still depend on web 2.0 default domains such as .blogspot.com, .wordpress.com, and so forth. This does not mean we do not need to install backlinks through domain 2.0, NOT! But, in addition to building backlinks on web 2.0, don’t forget to also make on TLD domain sites.

8. History of Backlinks

Surely you are a little confused seeing this point, naturally, because this one is rarely peeled on any website. Yes, backlink history, or often called backlink history. Represents the time of planting backlinks from day to day, week to week, month to month, and so on. The more stable (consistent) the history of the backlink is, the embedded backlink will look.

Example:

  • Unstable backlink history.
  • Many and stable backlink histories.
  • From the two graphs above, it is clear that the first graph is not permanent. Of the few, immediately, there are many, then back down, up, and down again. This will make Google suspicious. In contrast to the second graph, backlinks that are ‘plugged in’ are indeed many, but stable, which means backlinks are implanted consistently.

To check, you can use tools from Majestic.com.

9. One-way linking (one-way backlink)

Yes, one-way backlinks are a quality backlink factor. What exactly is meant by one direction? Here is an example, on-site A linking to site B, well, this is what is intended in one direction. But if site B also links to site A, then the two courses are going, this is wrong. Why? Because Google hates two-way backlinks, these links can become useless and endanger the SERP (search engine result page).

But it’s different if the link is in the form of articles or different pages.

Thus the basics to get quality backlinks SEO version Blogger Blog, hopefully useful.
